Financing/Shipping

Financing Information
Kuruma Imports can provide you with financial institutions that can assist with your financing, as we do not provide in-house financing. 
There is NO CHARGE when applying for financing through these companies. An approval does not commit you to the purchase.
Get approved for the MAXIMUM amount you are looking to borrow, ask if sales tax, registration, and transport fees can be included in the total finance loan amount if needed.

Down Payment

The down payment amount is based on the lender and the individual's qualifications.

Typically 10% to 20% down payment is required, but ask if ZERO DOWN is offered. 

 

Minimum Loan Amount 
The loan amount is offered on a case-by-case basis, dependent on the results of the loan application.
 
Loan Terms 
Loan terms are usually from 60 to 84 months but are dependent on the results of the loan application.  
Tip: term of the loan may be reduced by making larger loan payments each month.
 
Rates
Rates are dependent on the results of the loan application. 
 
Qualifications
Each individual's credit profile is unique in nature, there's no single definition for "good credit.” 
A minimum credit score of 600 with several years of credit history. 
Established credit history, (credit cards, a car loan, installment loan, or mortgage).
Strong payment history with few or no delinquencies. 
 
Key Indicators For Issuing Approval of a Loan

Several years of established credit history.
Credit history with a major credit card (Visa, MC, Amex), installment (vehicle loans), or mortgage debt.
Good payment history.
Stable and sufficient income/assets.

 

Approval Process 

Loan results can take up to three business days after the loan application is submitted.  For best results keep in touch with the financial institution during the process. 

 

 
Insurance Information
Contact your insurance company directly or one of the following to assist you with your classic car insurance needs.
Let the insurance agent know the vehicle is a Japanese imported classic and VIN is shorter than USA VINs. They need to add zeros to the ending to complete the required 17-digit VIN.

The Kuruma Imports Team strives to make your purchasing experience as easy as possible. Remember our assistance is just a phone call away. 
 
We encourage our buyers to research and contact a licensed, insured, and reliable transport company of choice to handle their shipping needs.
 
It is recommended that a quote for the costs be obtained before placing an order, paying a transportation professional, or signing any shipping agreement. When arranging for shipping, it is highly advisable that the purchaser first sets and confirms a pickup date and time with us before the driver arrives at our showroom. Our office hours are from 10 AM-5 PM, but we need time to prepare the vehicle for delivery.
It is important to verify that the loan has been approved by the financial institution and received/cleared by Kuruma before sending the driver to transport the vehicle.
 
ALL TRANSPORT PICKUP APPOINTMENTS MUST BE CONFIRMED BY KURUMA - PLEASE DO NOT SEND DRIVERS WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT OR FINANCIAL LOAN APPROVAL AND CLEARANCE FROM KURUMA IMPORTS.
 
Documents Needed from Transport Company
 
Please have the transport company provide Kuruma with the following documents when picking up the vehicle:
1. Copy of the completed Bill of Lading with your name and shipping address.
2. Copy of the transport company's valid insurance card.
 
In addition, ask the driver to take photos of the vehicle at the time of pickup for your records.
